What inspires you to live the life you live?

I’m inspired by risk and adventure. Doing hard stuff with guaranteed great stories at the end of the day.

I’m also inspired by the sacrifice my parents made to give me the upbringing that they did, and I work every day to repay them and do the same for my future family.

What’s your favorite piece of content?

Definitely YouTube, I watch a lot of inspirational content, from startup founders, athletes, motivational speakers and more. I also enjoy basketball highlights and don’t go a day without watching some NBA content!

Building scalable tech from the ground has been quite a challenge, but with a talented group of techies behind it, we have been able to build tech products that can be used by thousands across the region.

I believe every human life has a purpose. I live to discover and fulfil that purpose.

What’s your favorite piece of content?

The Ted talk by Jacqueline Novogratz on the power of immersion and living a life of immersion. It is about people who have immersed themselves in a cause, a community, a passion for justice. These human stories carry powerful moments of inspiration. I also love the one by Brene Brown on the power of vulnerability and the strides we can take towards human connection and understanding if we let ourselves be vulnerable.

What’s the hardest thing about your job?

Having to say goodbye to my baby every morning as I head to work. It is always a teary affair.

What inspires you to live the life you live?

I love living the life I live because I love to be in control of my time. To give that time to the things and people that make me happy. I am happy to be living a way that doesn’t make sense to many because my life isn’t a template.

What’s your favorite piece of content?

My all-time favourite movie, which is The Lord Of The Rings. It’s amazing how Tolkien imagined and created worlds beyond what was possible.

What’s the hardest thing about your job?

Translating what’s in my mind to something tangible without losing any pieces. Being satisfied with my end result is also hard because I’m a perfectionist. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I hate it.

What inspires you to live the life you live?

Simple guileless thrill. The kind we all remember from our childhood, when the possibility of what we could do, or who we could be, was infinite and wide open. Where we would discover all we wanted to know about the world through exploration, questioning and play. Goodwill existed naturally, and as far as we knew, there were enough resources for all. We were dreamers and people at play, and we lived for our next discovery. I’ve found that the true reward of art is taking us back to that familiar, primal place; where the world is made up of, not just sensory and emotional stimulation, but also rediscoveries of the world out there that we didn’t know.

What’s your favorite piece of content?

That’s a wide, wide well. If I was to pick one, though, it would be Fernando Meirelles’ ‘City Of God’. Still an absolute cinematic favourite. It’s one of those films that you come out of seeing, and you know you’ve been changed through and through.

What’s the hardest thing about your job?

Allowing the process to just be. Any career high is preceded by protracted periods of uncertainty, solitude and exertion. To allow the process to go as it will, that requires the kind of faith and fortitude that is forsaken as soon as its rewarded. Every new project feels like a return to a start, with contentment and results feeling out of reach all over again.
